Knockout and Knockin
Vector Construction
NorClone provides
guaranteed cloning and construction of different types of gene targeting vectors for
creating Conventional (Fig. 1), Conditional (Fig. 2), and
Conventional/Conditional (Fig. 3) knockout mice and knockin/point
mutations (Fig. 4) mice. These services generally include sequence
analysis of the genomic structure and exon/intron boundaries of the gene
of
interest;
PCR amplification and/or enzyme digestion; bacterial
transformation; plasmid isolation; and confirmation of the desired
gene-targeting vector.
Genomic
DNA of the gene of interest can be provided by customers or prepared by
NorClone.
